Legal Issues

You are here: Home / Legal Issues

In North Carolina, a divorce is broken down into a number of legal issues, which include property division, alimony, child custody, child support, and obtaining the absolute divorce itself.  In certain situations, the question of who is responsible for paying the attorneys fees may also be an issue.  What you need to understand about this is that your unique case may involve all of these issues, or only a couple.

As you are beginning your legal research, we have broken down the information most helpful to you into these categories.  Feel free to peruse these pages to help you answer your preliminary questions.  If you have additional questions, please feel free to ask a question on our “Ask a Lawyer” page.  If you still have questions, please feel free to call our office at (919) 460-5422 to schedule an initial assessment.
