Just finished up with Day 2 of the Family Law meetings in Charleston. Again, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the speakers. Jaye Meyer stood out with her witty lecture on case law updates, while Arlene Reardon did a great job explaining evidence – including echoing my sentiment that in litigation, you must use the rules to your advantage, even if you upset the judge or opposing counsel by enforcing those rules. They are there for a reason.
I also thought that Monica Guy did a good job with the lecture on Twitter, Facebook and Linked In – lots of family law attorneys do not use these tools to their full potential.
